Hey You 03:43
Hey You Once is not enough Getting to my insecurity It's always been too rough Seems to get the best of me My timing's all fucked up Verging on a total breakdown Before we self-destruct Before you try to burn my house down You should hear me out Hey You! Why can't you tell me that you're lonely too Hey You! Why can't you tell me that you love me too Not much going on But neither one of us could make time To fix the damage done Make me out to be the bad guy This used to be more fun Or maybe I was high the first time We're starting from square one And tell me what you want to feel like...and it's alright Hey You! Why do you tell me that you're lonely too Hey You! Why do you tell me that you love me too

Geisha Girl 03:30
Geisha Girl I've got a friend who was at wit's end He tried love but his heart broke down Fearing the worst his response at first Was to call on the geisha girl Don't even know where it's coming from Feeling things that he can't define Still, standing there fully unaware In the trance of the geisha girl Fell in love with the geisha girl She's the only girl who brings joy when she speaks to you Nothing in the would could mean more than she means to you Right where you belong when she bends over back for you From this moment on this is where it is at for you How can he help how his feelings felt? She had grace and a cultured mind Dressed to impress like an Emperess Perfect taste and a face sublime Drink, dance, sing she was born and raised to entertain Try as he might he just couldn't fight His desire for the geisha girl Fell in love with the geisha girl She's the only girl who brings joy when she speaks to you Nothing in the would could mean more than she means to you Right where you belong when she bends over back for you From this moment on this is where it is at for you Oh...and you can't stand the thought it Knowing you're just a small part of it No matter how you may care for her.... Tomorrow it's somebody new That's what she's trained to do Did you think it was only for you?

See Things As They Really Are You can make your argument From the halls of Parliament Posterboy for punishment Sounding like a bureaucrat Selling that the world is flat Never knowing where it's at Changed your mind? Well fancy that! Speaking your mind as it comes to you Riding down a one-way track Because it's always feel true when it touches you Hits you when you're looking back Are you seeing things as they really are? Playing to your audience Shower them with complements Never mind the consequence You can spend eternity Writing your apology But meaning it is everything

Backfire 03:32
BACKFIRE What I want to be is at the mercy of your actions When you summon clarity it emerges more as passion "Not today you" What I know is you have a custom of trying to win my favor Put on a pretty face Stand up and make your case But we know it's too late...that will backfire Up on your feet again Act like a gentleman But we know in the end...that will backfire I can always call the move as the situation's shaping What may appear as a boundary here is the action that I'm taking "Not today you" Curling up in your frustration and you take your swipes at me

Promise to Burn Hurts more than you know Seeing there is so far to go Lock myself inside These things tend to multiply Seems like the gravest weight is in my heart today And I can't put the thought away Wearing it on my sleeve Is there no more relief? This is the hour of my greatest need And when the room stops spinning A new beginning With all things even For what it's worth, I had promise to burn Silent is my dream of being what I ought to be All the work I've done I'm calling out to anyone Seems like the gravest weight is in my heart today And I can't put the thought away Wearing it on my sleeve Is there no more relief? This is the hour of my greatest need And when the room stops spinning A new beginning With all things even For what it's worth, I had promise to burn

Just Like I Remember It The miracle of memory Just close your eyes to take care of everything. No matter if it’s been too long You can go back, just hearing that certain song. Memories from a love affair To be there again, a picture can take you there. A rush runs through my veins.... Kind of like morphine back in the bloodstream It’s amazing......It’s just like I remember it I’m like an addict back at his habit’s call It’s the cravings... It’s just like I remember it Something’s got you like a drug You can recall the feeling you’re dreaming of By breathing in the evening air. Triggers the time, reminders are everywhere. But living in this deja vu just can’t compare There’s only one thing to do... A rush runs through my veins....

Living with the Static Holding down my curiosity You are drunk with animosity I know a place where I’m all alone How does your heart pump blood that cold? Hiding how I’m feeling and the things that I’ve been dealing with Living with the static Monumental fussing but at best you won’t discuss it I’m living with the static I think nearly I’ve had it, it’s too traumatic I’m living with the static Is it any wonder with the pressure that I’m under that I’m panicked. I will find things that mean more to me When you’re high on your authority I know a place where I’m all alone How does your back not break from the weight? Hiding how I’m feeling and the things that I’ve been dealing with Living with the static Monumental fussing but at best you won’t discuss it I’m living with the static I think nearly I’ve had it, it’s too traumatic I’m living with the static Is it any wonder with the pressure that I’m under that I’m panicked. I know a place where I’m all alone and I’m going.

A New Kind of Low Here I go again Isn't it a shame Caught inside myself Trying to explain Isn't it a shame I'm half way there then I'm nowhere near This must be a new kind of low Impossible to fake it Isn't it a shame Here I go again Isn't it a shame

The Very Marrow I was just ten when the news came in I remember the day ...December 8 I was up in my room just listening. Come right here, don’t delay, have a seat right away There’s some tragic news...I can’t find the words to use At the scene, on TV, Is it true? Can it be? “There has been a crime, and the man who changed your life Well today that man has died...” And I fell to the floor in disbelief I said to myself, How can it be? And the shock of it had gripped me Where were they? What was seen? Who would do such a thing? And I wondered why, as I watched the crowd arrive..... Holding signs at his door “He will live forever more!” But the bullets blazed. As the tears ran down my face, I could hear the music play. Years have passed, times have changed, but it still remains the same Some things strike so deep as to effect the lives we keep If he never came around tell me where would we be now??? After all these years.... It means more to me today The songs still play

Monterey 08:00
Monterey Monterey I'm crazy for you Am I just wasting time when it comes to us Am I just a toy when it comes to love Open your heart to me Bleed out your misery Monterey Marry me Oh... We can take the weight as long as it's together All we would give is a piece of the rest of our lives Oh... I can see my life reflecting back from your eyes Oh I can see that the future is gonna be fine
